Painted this year 2019. I always always loved Sherlock Holmes movies. I haven't read any of the books. I just watched film versions. I enjoyed the idea of solving a mystery especially in Holmes way. Staying come and quite till the end. His pipe represents his cold mind. He smokes

His deerstalker cap or double-flapped hat is so traditional it is hard to imagine a classical Sherlock without it. I used his profile silhouette as a perfect form to use for my stripe style abstract painting. Sherlock wears many stripes and colors underneath the surface. He is complex and fascinating.
